Help Make New York a Leader in Women's Equality!

NOW-NYC joined hundreds of advocates in Albany earlier this week to lobby for women's rights. With just days left to pass the Women's Equality Agenda, we need your help more than ever. Whether it's at work, in the doctor's office or at home, women deserve freedom from discrimination. With a coalition 800 strong and support building across the state, we can't let this opportunity pass.

Anti-choice religious groups are getting hundreds of calls in to legislator's offices - even though 80% of New York voters support reproductive rights. We need to show our pro-choice majority is real, and that we CAN pass a comprehensive, 10-point Women's Equality Act.

If you have 3 minutes:

Call the Senate Independent Democratic Caucus to make sure the vote reaches the floor (Democratic Senators Jeffrey Klein:(718) 822-2049; Diane Savino at (718) 727-9406; and Republican Dean Skelos at (516) 766-8383).
Use this message: "Senator _______should stand up for women's equality by supporting the Governor's Women's Equality Act and taking leadership on bringing the Women's Equality Act to the floor for a vote." Add your own personal story, if you'd like.

Call your Assemblymember and State Senator and ask them to vote YES on the Women's Equality Act
